"Edward Herbert Towler, at home July 4, 1958, beloved husband of Marjorie Bonner Towler; loving father of Herbert Bonner Towler of Oakland and Mrs. Marjorie Towler Witt of Sacramento; loving son of Mrs. Minnie Rose Towler of Berkeley and the late Herbert Lincoln Towler, brother of Mertianna Towler of Berkeley; grandfather of Susan Louise and Edward Hughes Towler and Robert Towler, Peter Douglas and Thomas Edward Witt. A native of Cleveland, Ohio; aged 66 years. A member of Minneapolis Lodge _____ A.F&A.M.; St. John's Chapter No. 9, Royal Arch Masons; Minneapolis Mounted Commander No. 23, Knights Templar; Minneapolis Chapter Rose Croix and Scottish Rite Bodies of Minneapolis and Aahmes Temple of the Shrine of Oakland; Bohemian Club of San Francisco, Faculty Club of the University of California, National California and Oakland Associations of Insurance Agents, Photographic Society of America and first president and found of the Oakland Camera Club.
Private funeral services will be held Monday, July 7, the Rev. Walter Williams officiating. Friends may call at Truman's, Telegraph Avenue at 30th Street, Oakland until 10 a.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society, Alameda County Branch, 354 21st Street, Oakland."
